So, what's buzzin', Dead Zone? Well, our American survivors certainly had their week... and so did the Canadians! Oh wait, hmm. Nevermind. Other than the fact that I am Canadian.... let's just get on with the news.
Game News[]
- Independence Day. Okay okay, looks like American survivors have something to brag about. Just saying, the developers are Australian. So...
- New items. You have a ton of new toys to play with. Bash out the skulls of your dear zombies with the Lady Liberty. Pepper those pesky raiders with the fury of a million
nukesbullets with The 2nd Amendment. Or maybe you just enjoy looking American. Strap on the Ballistic Mask - USA and dazzle your enemies with the stripes and stars, which will soon be the only things they'll see. Or wrap Bandanas over your face to get the "This is America. For your face" into action. Literally. You might be able to get your hands on last year's beard and hat. But if all of this isn't enough, show off your true American pride by wearing the most patriotic thing in the universe.
- New items. You have a ton of new toys to play with. Bash out the skulls of your dear zombies with the Lady Liberty. Pepper those pesky raiders with the fury of a million
- New packages, with tons of sweet, new goodies. While the Freedom Fuel packages have expired by the time I write this (hopefully you got it while you can!), the Super Patriot Pack is still available! Four days left to get it, at the time I'm writing this.
- Raiding practice mode is out.[1] Now you can practice raiding on your own compound without suffering any losses or pains, but at the same time you won't gain anything out of it, except maybe experience. Just to recap:
- You are basically attacking your own compound, so set things up the way you like.
- Your defending survivors are replaced by plain clothed clones of your survivors... cloning in the Dead Zone, hmm!
- There is no return time, ammo cost, injuries or damage to survivors and buildings, no sustained disarming/triggering of traps, Active Gear is not consumed, and scavenging is disabled. However, you basically load up and play like normal. In short - it's a perfect sandbox!
